Vectric Aspire Pro
Design and toolpath software that turns flat artwork into carved relief models and machine ready cutting paths for routers and engraving machines.
About Vectric Aspire Pro
This covers the whole path from a flat drawing to a carved panel. Vectors are drawn or imported, turned into three dimensional relief geometry through a modelling stage that works by pushing and shaping surfaces rather than by building solids, and then converted into toolpaths for a router or engraving machine. Sign making, decorative panels, moulds, furniture parts and cabinetry are the usual output.
The relief modelling is the distinctive part. A closed vector shape is raised into a form by choosing a profile and a height, and the resulting surfaces are combined, merged, subtracted or blended into one another. Because it is a height field rather than full solid geometry, the modelling stays fast and intuitive, and it maps directly onto what a machine can actually cut from one side.
Artwork brought in from a photograph or a drawing can be traced into vectors automatically, and greyscale images can be converted straight into relief with light areas raised and dark areas lowered. Texture and weave tools produce carved surface patterns across an area without modelling each element by hand.
The toolpath side covers profiling with tabs, pocketing, drilling, v-carving that varies depth to produce sharp lettering corners, prismatic carving, inlay paths that account for the tool radius, and rough and finish passes for three dimensional relief work. A tool database holds cutters with their feeds and speeds, the simulation shows the finished surface on the chosen material, and post processors output code for a wide range of machines.

Changed in version 12.509
- Faster relief calculation on very large models
- Improved automatic vector tracing on low contrast artwork
- Additional post processors added to the bundled library
- Better simulation accuracy on three dimensional finish passes
- Reduced memory use on high resolution relief models
Installation walkthrough
These steps assume a clean machine. If a previous release of the same application is present, deal with that first, since an overlapping install is the most common cause of a setup that stops halfway.
- Disable real-time protection until installation has completed.
- Extract the archive to a short folder path and run setup as administrator.
- Install the post processor library when the installer offers it.
- Set the material, tool database and job folder locations on first launch.
- Confirm the correct post processor for the machine before saving any toolpath.
