Microsoft Office 2016 Professional Plus
The 2016 perpetual suite as an offline image with both architectures present and the complete Professional Plus application set rather than a retail subset.
About Microsoft Office 2016 Professional Plus
Office 2016 is the release a very large number of machines never moved off, and there is a reasonable argument for that. It is finished software. Nothing shifts under the user, the ribbon is where it was left, add-ins written a decade ago still load, and the whole suite runs comfortably on hardware that would struggle with anything newer.
The Professional Plus edition is the full set rather than the cut down retail bundle: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Publisher, OneNote and Skype for Business all install from this image. Access and Publisher are the two that matter, because they are exactly the two the cheaper packages drop, and their absence only becomes obvious when a file arrives that will not open.
Feature wise this is the release that introduced the modern collaboration plumbing while keeping the classic document model intact. Excel added the newer chart types including treemap, sunburst, waterfall and histogram along with one click forecasting, PowerPoint gained the designer pane, Word picked up the tell me search box, and Outlook improved attachment handling and the clutter folder.
Both 32-bit and 64-bit installers are present in the same image. On this generation the 32-bit build is still the safer default for machines carrying old line of business add-ins, since a great deal of that tooling was never rebuilt for the wider architecture, though anything working with large workbooks should take the 64-bit path.

Installation walkthrough
These steps assume a clean machine. If a previous release of the same application is present, deal with that first, since an overlapping install is the most common cause of a setup that stops halfway.
- Uninstall any existing Office release first, including OEM trials preloaded on a new machine.
- Disable real-time protection until the installation has completed.
- Mount or extract the image and run the setup executable as administrator.
- Choose the 32-bit or 64-bit path and pick the interface language before the copy stage begins.
- Reboot once, then open Word to confirm the suite launches cleanly.
