Marvelous Designer Enterprise
Garment simulation built on real pattern pieces and stitches, producing cloth that drapes and folds correctly on a moving character or a static form.
About Marvelous Designer Enterprise
Marvelous Designer builds clothing the way a garment is actually made. Flat pattern pieces are drawn in a two dimensional window, stitched together along their edges, and then simulated onto a form in the three dimensional window. Because the construction is real, the drape, the folds and the way a seam pulls all behave the way fabric does instead of being sculpted by hand.
The simulation is the core of it. Fabric properties cover weight, stretch, bend, friction and thickness, so linen behaves differently from denim without any manual adjustment to the shape, and pressure, gravity and wind all act on the result. Layered garments interact with each other correctly rather than intersecting.
Animation support takes it beyond a still image. A garment simulates over an imported character animation, so a coat swings and a skirt lifts through a walk cycle, and the resulting cache exports as an animated mesh. Collision handling keeps cloth off the body at speed, which is where naive cloth solvers usually fail.
The pipeline end is straightforward. Characters and props import from the common model exchange formats, finished garments export as meshes with UV layouts derived from the pattern pieces themselves, which is unusually convenient for texturing, and pattern data exports for anyone taking the design towards actual production.
What is included in this build

- Real stitching between pattern edges rather than sculpted seams
- Fabric properties covering weight, stretch, bend, friction and thickness
- Layered garments that interact correctly instead of intersecting
- Simulation over imported character animation with cache export
- Collision handling that keeps cloth off the body during fast motion
- UV layouts derived directly from the pattern pieces
- Import and export through the common model exchange formats
Changed in version 2026.0.315
- Faster simulation on garments with high particle density
- Improved collision stability during fast character motion
- Additional fabric presets in the bundled library
- Better handling of very complex layered garments
- Reduced memory use when caching long animations
Installation walkthrough
These steps assume a clean machine. If a previous release of the same application is present, deal with that first, since an overlapping install is the most common cause of a setup that stops halfway.
- Install the current graphics driver before starting.
- Disable real-time protection until the install completes.
- Extract the archive to a short path with no spaces.
- Run setup as administrator and choose the interface language.
- Set the simulation cache folder to a fast internal drive on first launch.
