Imagenomic Portraiture
A retouching plugin that smooths skin while leaving eyes, hair and fabric detail alone, running inside the common photo editors and raw processors.
About Imagenomic Portraiture
Skin retouching by hand is slow, and every shortcut that involves blurring produces the plastic look everyone recognises immediately. Portraiture works differently: it builds a mask from the skin tones present in the image, then applies frequency aware smoothing inside that mask only, so pores and texture survive while blotches, uneven tone and shine are levelled out. Eyes, eyebrows, hair, lips and clothing stay sharp because the mask never covered them.
The mask is the part worth understanding. An eyedropper samples skin from the frame and the tolerance sliders widen or narrow the range, with a preview that shows exactly which pixels are included. On mixed lighting or several subjects with different complexions, the range widens or a second pass handles the rest, and the mask can be refined by hand where a background happens to share a skin hue.
Beyond smoothing there are the enhancement controls: sharpness, softness, warmth, tint, brightness and contrast applied inside the mask so a face can be treated separately from the frame without a separate selection. A set of presets covers portrait, fashion, wedding and high key work as starting points, and custom presets save a look for a whole shoot.
Batch processing is what makes it viable on volume work. A saved preset applies across an entire folder or an entire selection in a raw processor, so a wedding or an event delivery gets a consistent skin treatment without opening every frame. It installs into the common photo editors and raw processors during setup, and the same preset behaves identically in each.

Installation walkthrough
These steps assume a clean machine. If a previous release of the same application is present, deal with that first, since an overlapping install is the most common cause of a setup that stops halfway.
- Install the host photo editor or raw processor first, since this attaches to an existing installation.
- Close every host application before starting setup.
- Extract the archive to a folder with a short path.
- Run the installer as administrator and confirm the detected host list before continuing.
- Launch the host and find the plugin under the filter or edit in menu.
