Ant Download Manager
A multi-threaded transfer accelerator that also lifts video and audio streams straight out of a page without a separate grabber tool.
About Ant Download Manager
Ant Download Manager sits in the same slot as the older segmented accelerators but was built recently enough that the browser side of it actually works with current releases. A transfer is split into parallel streams, reassembled on completion, and resumed from the segment map if the line drops, which is the entire reason a tool like this stays on a working machine.
The part that separates it from a plain accelerator is stream capture. A floating button appears over playing media, and clicking it lists every quality and audio track the page is offering rather than silently taking the first one. Adaptive manifests split across hundreds of small segments are pulled and joined back into a single file, so what lands on disk is one playable file rather than a folder of fragments.
Queue handling is more thought through than most. Downloads sort into categories by file type, a scheduler starts and stops queues at set times, and bandwidth limits can be applied per queue so a large batch does not choke a video call happening on the same line. Finished items can trigger a shutdown or a handoff to a scanner.
Integration covers the mainstream browsers through an extension, and there is a clipboard watcher for the cases where the extension is not wanted. Proxy support, per-site credentials and referrer handling are all present, which matters for anything sitting behind a login page.

Installation walkthrough
These steps assume a clean machine. If a previous release of the same application is present, deal with that first, since an overlapping install is the most common cause of a setup that stops halfway.
- Close every browser window fully, including background instances left in the tray.
- Pause real-time protection until the installer has finished writing files.
- Extract the archive to any folder and run setup as administrator.
- Allow the browser extension to register when the installer prompts for it.
- Set the default save folder and the per-file connection count from the options panel.
