4K Video Downloader Plus
A media grabber that pulls video and audio from a pasted link at the highest available quality, with playlist and channel handling built in.
About 4K Video Downloader Plus
The interface is a single button and a pasted link, which is most of why this tool is as widely used as it is. The link is read from the clipboard, the available formats are listed with resolution, frame rate, codec and file size, and the chosen one downloads to a folder. There is no queue to configure and no settings pass required before the first use.
Format handling goes further than the basics. Video comes down at the highest resolution the source actually offers rather than the highest the browser was serving, high frame rate and wide dynamic range variants are listed separately, and audio can be extracted on its own into a lossless or compressed file with the correct tags and cover art already attached where the source provides them.
Bulk work is what the Plus tier is for. A whole playlist downloads as a numbered folder, a channel subscription pulls new items automatically as they appear, and smart mode applies one saved format choice to everything pasted afterwards so a long session becomes paste, paste, paste. In-app search finds material without opening a browser at all.
The supporting details matter on real files. Subtitles download as separate sidecar files or burn into the picture, in as many languages as the source carries. Proxy settings route traffic where a direct connection is blocked, downloads resume after an interruption rather than restarting, and the output naming pattern is configurable so a library stays organised rather than filling with identical names.

Installation walkthrough
These steps assume a clean machine. If a previous release of the same application is present, deal with that first, since an overlapping install is the most common cause of a setup that stops halfway.
- Extract the archive to a folder with a short path.
- Run the installer as administrator.
- Set the default download folder and output naming pattern before the first download.
- Choose a default format in smart mode if most downloads will be the same quality.
- Configure a proxy from settings only if a direct connection is blocked.
