UltraISO Premium Edition
A disc image editor that opens, edits, converts and writes image files, and turns a USB stick into bootable installation media.
About UltraISO Premium Edition
The unusual thing about this tool is that it edits an image file in place. Most utilities can only build a new image or extract from an existing one, whereas here a file is added to or removed from an image directly and the result is saved without rebuilding the whole thing from a folder. On a multi-gigabyte installation image that is the difference between a minute and an afternoon.
Bootable media is the job it gets used for most. Writing a bootable image to a USB stick handles the boot sector correctly, offers the different write methods for machines that are picky about which one they accept, and works with both the older and newer firmware boot paths. It also extracts and preserves boot information from an existing bootable image so a modified copy still starts.
Format handling is broad. It reads the standard image format plus the proprietary formats several older burning suites produced, and converts between them, so an image from a decade old tool becomes something a current machine can mount. Compressed image formats are supported in both directions.
The rest is a mounting driver for opening an image as a virtual drive without writing anything, direct burning to optical media where a drive is still fitted, checksum verification after a write, and a file browser that treats an image like a folder tree for dragging things in and out.

Installation walkthrough
These steps assume a clean machine. If a previous release of the same application is present, deal with that first, since an overlapping install is the most common cause of a setup that stops halfway.
- Extract the archive and run setup as administrator.
- Allow the virtual drive component to install if image mounting will be used.
- Reboot once so the virtual drive registers with the system.
- Back up the source image before editing it in place, since the save overwrites.
- Confirm the correct target device before writing to a USB stick, as writing erases it.
