IObit Driver Booster Pro
Scans installed hardware, finds outdated drivers across a large device database, and updates them with a restore point taken first.
About IObit Driver Booster Pro
Driver Booster scans what is physically in a machine, compares each device against a large driver database, and lists what is out of date. On a rebuilt machine or an older laptop where half the devices are running whatever generic driver Windows supplied, this is considerably faster than visiting six vendor sites and matching model numbers by hand.
The coverage spans graphics, chipset, network, audio, storage controllers, printers, input devices and the long tail of peripherals that never get updated otherwise. Each entry shows the installed version against the available one, so an update can be applied selectively rather than as an all or nothing batch.
Safety is handled before anything is written. A restore point is created ahead of the update pass, and every replaced driver is backed up individually so a single problematic device can be rolled back without undoing the whole session. That matters most with graphics and storage drivers, which are exactly the ones people are nervous about.
Beyond updating there is a small set of maintenance tools: a game boost mode that stops non-essential background services during play, detection and repair for common audio and network faults, and a scheduler that runs the scan quietly on a set interval rather than nagging.

Installation walkthrough
These steps assume a clean machine. If a previous release of the same application is present, deal with that first, since an overlapping install is the most common cause of a setup that stops halfway.
- Close any running vendor driver utility before starting.
- Run the installer as administrator.
- Decline any optional bundled offers presented during setup.
- Run a full scan and review the list before applying anything.
- Update graphics and storage drivers one at a time, rebooting between them.
