Installation walkthrough

These steps assume a clean machine. If a previous release of the same application is present, deal with that first, since an overlapping install is the most common cause of a setup that stops halfway.

1. Close any existing instance of the client from the notification area before starting.
2. Extract the archive to a short path with no spaces in the folder name.
3. Run the installer as administrator so the global hotkey registers system wide.
4. Choose the interface language and set the hotkey on first launch.
5. Point the conversation database at a drive with space if long threads are expected.
