Microsoft Activation Scripts
A small script collection that runs from a console menu and applies the standard activation methods for desktop and suite installations without installing anything permanent.
About Microsoft Activation Scripts
This is a script collection rather than an application. It unpacks to a folder of plain text batch files and a launcher, and everything it does is readable before it runs, which is the reason it has the reputation it has among people who refuse to run a compiled tool from an unknown source. Nothing is installed, no service is registered, and deleting the folder removes it entirely.
The launcher presents a console menu with the available methods laid out by number. Each option explains what it does before it does it, applies its changes, and reports success or failure in plain language rather than a status code. A check option reports the current state of a machine without changing anything, which is useful on its own for auditing a workstation before touching it.
It covers both the desktop editions and the document suite installations, including the enterprise track, and it handles the case where an existing method has been half applied and left the machine in a confused state. The troubleshooting menu resets the relevant components back to a clean baseline so a fresh attempt starts from a known position.
Because everything is scripted, the whole thing runs in a few seconds and works fine on a machine with no network connection for the methods that do not need one. It is also small enough to keep on the same USB stick as an installation image, which is how most people actually carry it.

Installation walkthrough
These steps assume a clean machine. If a previous release of the same application is present, deal with that first, since an overlapping install is the most common cause of a setup that stops halfway.
- Extract the archive to a folder on a local drive, not to a network path.
- Add an exclusion for that folder, since script collections of this type are flagged on sight by most protection software.
- Right click the launcher and run it as administrator.
- Read the description of the chosen menu option before confirming it.
- Close the console window when it reports completion, then reboot once.
