A separate check refreshes the state without changing anything, which is the right first step before running anything at all.

The tool is best treated as one of a small family. Some machines respond better to a scripted approach and some to this one, and having both on a technician stick costs nothing. Installation walkthrough

These steps assume a clean machine. If a previous release of the same application is present, deal with that first, since an overlapping install is the most common cause of a setup that stops halfway.

1. Add the folder to the protection software exclusion list before extracting, since tools of this type are flagged on heuristics.
2. Extract the executable rather than running it from inside the archive.
3. Right click and run it as administrator.
4. Run the state check first, then the process once, then check the state again.
5. Close the window when finished, and decide whether the renewal task is wanted at all.
