Installation walkthrough

These steps assume a clean machine. If a previous release of the same application is present, deal with that first, since an overlapping install is the most common cause of a setup that stops halfway.

1. Extract the archive and run the installer as administrator.
2. Decline any additional bundled component offered during setup unless it is actually wanted.
3. Run the first scan in report mode and read the results before applying anything.
4. Turn the floating monitor panel off in settings if a permanent overlay is not wanted.
5. Set the scheduled scan interval to something sensible rather than leaving it on the default.
