Conversion is the core, and it is done in batches. A folder of mixed source formats goes in, one target profile is chosen, and everything comes out matching. The profile list covers device targets, editing formats, delivery formats and audio only outputs, and a custom profile exposes the codec, bitrate, resolution and frame rate directly for anyone who wants to set them by hand.
Hardware acceleration is the reason the queue finishes. The encoder path uses the GPU where one is present, which turns a batch that would take an afternoon on the processor alone into something closer to real time. Quality is preserved through a two pass option when file size matters more than speed.
Compression is treated as its own task rather than a side effect. A target file size can be set and the tool works out the bitrate needed to hit it, with a preview of a short section so the quality can be judged before committing to the whole file. That is the usual fix for a video that will not upload or attach.
Around the converter sit the tools that stop a second application being needed: trimming, cropping, merging, watermarking, subtitle attachment, audio extraction, a screen recorder, a disc authoring module with menu templates, and a media player for checking results. Installation walkthrough
These steps assume a clean machine. If a previous release of the same application is present, deal with that first, since an overlapping install is the most common cause of a setup that stops halfway.
- Extract the archive to a folder with a short path.
- Disable real-time protection until setup completes.
- Run the installer as administrator.
- Enable hardware acceleration in preferences after first launch if a suitable GPU is present.
- Set the output folder before starting the first batch so results do not scatter.
